Cupcakes Are the Perfect Dessert For All Occasions
Trying to come up with the perfect dessert? Time and time again, for birthdays and other such dessert driven events, you made the same dessert but have always wanted to have a sort of “go to” dessert that can be used for all occasions and never gets old and is easy. Cupcakes are the perfect dessert for all occasions; from weddings to birthdays, from simple get-togethers to celebratory events.
Why is this? Because cupcakes seem to have a way of lighting up any mood, for some reason when they are brought into the room they always manage to bring smiles to the faces of those who can see them. Their shape is small, they are usually decorated in a cute fashion, there is something so light and easy about them, even the biggest calorie counter looks at a cupcake like it is a friendly treat.
Cupcakes are great because they require little to no plates. At a picnic, one may simply need napkins as crumbs that fall on the grassy ground below are harmless. In one’s own kitchen a small napkin held below the cupcake can still suffice if one is on a small budget or likes to keep things as low maintenance as possible. They are also easy to pack up in a small Ziploc bag or box for one’s guests to take home and enjoy!
Whether one decides to make the cupcakes themselves or purchase them, they are an inexpensive dessert! The low cost of these desserts, however, does not de-value their worth.
At some weddings, couples and their guests are enjoying a wedding cupcake tree instead of a traditional wedding cake.
Cupcake decorating is fun and each of you can use your imagination to create your own cupcake recipes. Of course, every good cupcake decorating party has to include cupcake sprinkles, but you can also use marshmallows, cookies, candy bits, and other treats.
The Chocolate Cupcakes Devine is a chocolate cupcake recipe that seems to be a favorite of anybody who tries it. You should get some GLAD Bake & Cooking Paper to keep the cupcakes from sticking to the tins.
These are some tips that you should use in preparation of the chocolate cupcake recipe:
1. Make sure your butter and eggs are at room temperature before you start.
2. Use caster sugar for a finer texture cake, as it is absorbed by the butter and eggs more rapidly.
3. Always use the type of flour specified in the recipe.
4. Cook cakes in the center of the oven.
5. If you cook more than one at a time place them on the same shelf being very careful not to let the tins touch each other, the sides or back of the oven and always reverse the positions of the cakes 1/2 way through cooking time.
6. Always line tins with paddy cases, glad bake or use silicone bake ware.
7. Never substitute ingredients as the results will be entirely different.
I admit it. I am a cookie monster. That’s why when I see a chocolate cupcake recipe or a chocolate chip cupcake recipe, I can’t resist making one.
Will Rogers once said, "I never met a man I didn’t like." I feel the same way about cookies. However my very favorite store-bought cookie is the Oreo. It is also the favorite for billions of cookie eaters.
Every Oreo eater agrees that they are the greatest but there is a dispute among Oreo lovers. It is about the best way to eat them - dunking them in milk or twisting off one side and licking the middle first. The "lick the middle" technique was recently demonstrated on a national TV commercial. I prefer to just crunch my Oreos with a tall glass of milk on the side.
There is nothing more exciting than sitting down at the table with your family during the holiday season and enjoying a great meal - followed by a great dessert. But after years of hosting your family’s holiday parties, your relatives can often begin to predict what you’ll make each year. "Let me guess … lemon meringue pie" or "We can always count on your pound cake." Instead of being the predictable party host you’ve been for years, or even decades, why not add some flair to your menu with these fun and unique holiday desserts?
Honey Cake Pudding
With more of a bread pudding consistency, it is sweet like cake and tastes great with ice cream or custard. The ingredients include traditional cake items such as flour, butter, milk, sugar, baking soda and eggs, but what makes it stand out from other cakes is its use of liquid honey. Instead of baking it in a cake pan, it is baked in a bowl, and when is retrieved from the oven, the ingredient mixture creates a consistency that is gooey in the middle with a golden crust on top.
Gingerbread House
Creating one of these unique little houses gives your entire family a chance to exercise their creative muscles, and the final product is one to be treasured for at least a month. To get your children excited about gingerbread houses, show them pictures of the gingerbread cupcake recipe and what it is supposed to look like.
Orange and Lemon Ice Treat
Orange and lemon ice is a mix between a drink and a treat making it one of the more unique holiday desserts out there. It is considered to be a gourmet blend, so when you present this unique delight to the family they’ll feel very special. The dessert is made, of course, with real lemons and oranges.
Caterpillar Cake
You start by getting 12 snowball cupcakes for the caterpillar parts and red or black string licorice with gumdrops for decoration. Arrange the 12 cupcakes on a baking sheet then attach the licorice as legs and the gumdrops as eyes, then bake until done - very easy and fun!
